This year the festival, which aims to create a promotional platform for the new Danish and Nordic music, features numerous artists, among which there are both known groups and artists as well as newcomers which the festival consideres to have the potential for an international impact. According to the program of the festival, the artists to have their performance on Friday 4th May, among others, were KarriereKanonen, Ladylion, Akat, CopCol, Masha Qrella & The Dangers of the Sea, Age of Giants, Slayer Big Band Project, Rasmus Walter, NovemberDecember, Nikolaj Norlund, Vessel, Larsen & Furious Jane, Ila Auto, Keith Canisius & The Holy Dreamers, Schulz And Forever, Ulige Numre, The Eclectic Moniker, Choir of Young Believers, Veto, Simon Says No, SVIN, Young Dinosaur, Klumpen & Raske Penge y Slagsmålsklubben.On Friday May 5 played among others Garish & II Tempo Gigante, Snake and Jet’s Amazing Bullit Band, Daniel Norgren, Shaka Loveless, Shiny Darkly, Atmodisch, Hypertext, Three Attacks, Soren Dahl Jeppesen Quartet, In Memoirs, Marius (FO), Stoffer & Maskinen, Papir, Of the Wand and the Moon, My Bubba & Mi, Wafande, IKI, Annasaid, NAKED, Spillemaendene, Alphabeat, Zebra and Snake y Kúra.
The event was a resounding public success, getting even to complete the locations of the concerts, which made that many viewers couldn’t enter. The SPOT festival is beloved by the Nordic artists not only by the broad public participation but also because of the great promotion provided by the numerous media that covers the festival.
