In the winter time the Bus company called Boreal will take you on weekdays to Honningsvåg (30 km from the North Cape) from the Norwegian cities of Áltá and Hammerfest, and again from Honningsvåg to North Cape. In summer these lines are open all days a week, also in the weekend.
Whereas in the summer season it is possible to fly to the Finnish city of Rovaniemi and take a bus that drives you directly to the North Cape, by the Finnish Company Eskelisen Linjat.
North Cape by car, motorcycle, camper or bike:
The road E69 takes you directly to the North Cape, whether you drive a car, a caravan or a motobike. The northern roads are famous of their good condition, the only thing you need crossing Norway or Finland is a bit of time and the will to take a long car ride. Also the bicycle path called Eurovelo leads directly to the North Cape, so if you are a bike lover, go for it and enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the Northern Sea. The only thing to recall when one goes by bike in the northern Europe is that it should be done only in the summer months; May, June, July, August and beginning of September. Beginning from Mid September the roads might already have some ice. So be careful if going by bike.
The North Cape by Boat:
One of the most amazing ways to experience the North Cape is to take a cruise called Hurtigruten. Normally you start the cruise in Bergen and go cruising towards the north along the Norwegian costline of the Atlantic Ocean. This beautiful experience offers magnificent views of the Norwegian Fjords, which are spectacular in the northern parts of the country, as well as offering a stop at the North Cape and in Honningsvåg. It is possible to take your car or motorcycle onboard so if you want you can hop off the boat and explore the coast and inner land by car. The cruises stop daily at the North Cape port, so it is easy to take the boat again and return cruising southwards.
